I’m a freelance English Language Teacher.
When I was 10, my family and I moved from Washington D.C., U.S.A., to Naples, Italy. That is when I started to learn the Italian language. I also began teaching English to my older Italian cousins, and friends, while helping them with their homework.
I received a Masters Degree in European Languages from the University of Naples Federico II. I specialized in Linguistics, and in Language Teaching. I have been working for nearly two decades with a variety of students, from nursery school to Post Graduate.
I think the most important thing in teaching is keeping it real.
I love to create fun and engaging lessons! I always try to add a craft in my lessons with kids. I believe that if you let them create their own product, they will make real life connections and put into practice what they have learned.
The objective of this blog is to share ideas, thoughts and reflections about teaching. I absolutely love teaching, and reflecting on my lessons. I enjoy learning about opportunities to improve my teaching and my students’ learning, in my classroom, as well as classrooms around the world.
